Chris Dover Slick, 39, of Kalkaska, died Wed, Sep 22, 1999, at Munson Medical Center.
Chris was born Jun 27, 1960, at Beyer Hospital in Ypsilanti to Claire G. and Mary C (Brooks) Slick. He was preceded in death by his mother and brother Ken.
Chris was injured in a driving accident in 1986 which left him paralyzed. He enjoyed his life and spending time with family and friends. He did not let his disability stop him from doing the things he enjoyed-fishing, boating, and hunting. His nieces and nephews were the biggest joy in his life and he devoted himself to making sure they got all the things they needed and wanted.
Chris is survived by brothers George G Slick and Paul J (Mary K) Slick; sisters Deett Hoose and Cindy (Dan) Halligan; his father Claire Gordon Slick; nieces Tina (Don) Belcher, Melissa, Jolene, Kristy Slick and Ashley Slick; nephews Joe Watts, Ron and Jon Ball; great nieces Teia and Ivy Belcher, and his loyal dog Babe.
Chris had many close friends and a special appreciation goes to Jerry and Kay Long and family, Kim and Jim Raymond and family, Junior Demars and family, Ralph and Tracie Baggs and family, Tammy Stankewitz, Joe and Josh, for all you've done for Chris.
Chris's last wish was for everyone to enjoy life and party hearty!
A memorial service and celebration of his life was Sep 25 at the George Slick residence.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Ralph Baggs family.
Arrangements were made by Wolfe Funeral Home, Kalkaska.
