Funeral services for Charles R. "Archie" Abbott, 79, a Deckerville resident for the last 15 years, were held in Srock Funeral Home, Deckerville, on Apr 8. Burial was in Downing Cemetery, Deckerville. The Rev. Harry Brakeman of the Deckerville United Methodist Church officiated.
Mr. Abbott died Apr 6 in the Sanilac County Medical Care Facility after a long illness.
He was born Dec 1, 1895, in Marion Township. He was an employee of the Chevrolet Division of General Motors for many years.
He was a member of Marion Lodge No. 392, F & AM, for many years.
He is survived by a son, William Abbott of Alpena; a grandchild; and three sisters, Mrs. Carrie Snell of Sandusky, Mrs. Mae Klienknecht and Miss Lois Abbott of Palms.
