Charles Palmer, 77, died Thursday afternoon at the Boardman Valley hospital following a short illness. Born in Victory, NY, February 2nd 1868, he came to Empire when a young man. For the past 30 years he had resided near Silver Lake.
He was married to Olive Austin in Southern Michigan. To this union were born two children.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Robinson of Cadillac and Corp. Henry Palmer of the U.S. Army in Belgium; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren; a brother, Asa, of Colorado.
The body was taken to the Sampson Funeral Home to remain until time of services to be heldĀ Monday afternoon at two-thirty. Interment will be made in the mausoleum until spring.
