Charles Kenneth Guy, 73, of Rapid City, went home to the Lord Thu, Nov 14, 1996. A lifelong resident of Rapid City. Mr. Guy was the owner of Clifton and Guy Market prior to his retirement in 1985. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and sports.
Mr. Guy was born in Rapid City on Mar 11, 1923, to Samuel Earl and Mildred (Kinsey) Guy.
On Mar 16, 1946, in Traverse City, he was united in marriage with Dorothy Allen, who survives.
Also surviving are sons Wayne Guy of Bellaire and Victor (Kelley) Guy of Central Lake; daughter Connie (William Jr) Bump of Flushing; brothers Robert Guy of Traverse City, Jack and Earl Guy both of Rapid City, Richard Guy of Florida, and Maurice Guy of Kalkaska; sisters Evelyn Guy and Mary Jane Clifton, both of Rapid City, and Joan Hubble of Florida; grandchildren John Latimer, Timothy Bump and Esther Bump; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Two sisters Harriet Stoddard and Betty Zick, preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held Sunday at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Rev. William Bump Jr and Rev. George Warnock officiated. Burial is in Clearwater Township Cemetery, Kalkaska County.
