Charles Franklin Lake, age 58, of Williamsburg, R.2, passed away Sun at the Munson Medical Center after a brief illness.
Surviving are his wife, Helen; three daughters, Bonnetta Lake and Carolyn Seeley of Traverse City; Suzanne Robertson of SC; six brothers, Leamon and Edward of Williamsburg; Carl R. Lansing, Frederick, John and Dale of Traverse City; four sisters, Mrs. Ida Umlor and Rosemary Kluth of Traverse City; Mrs. Alice Brooke of Manton; Mrs. Virginia Baynton of Buckley; many grand and great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; two step daughters, Mrs. Bonnie Lou Weber of Ypsilanti and Mrs. Margaret Lake of this city; a step son, Russell Annis of Traverse City.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Lucille and his mother, Rose.
Mr. Lake was born Dec 18, 1913 in Traverse City, the son of John and Rose Lake. He was married Nov 21, 1953 to Helen Cram. Mr. Lake was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose No. 288 and was a lifelong resident of this area. He was employed as a truck driver by many area firms.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm Wed at the Martinson Funeral Home in Traverse City with Rev. CD Darling officiating. Interment in Acme Cemetery. In respect to the wishes of Mr. Lake, the usual gathering of friends following the services will be omitted.
