Charles Devere Hall, 74, of South Boardman, died Mon, Mar 13, 2000, at the Kalkaska Memorial Health Center.
Devere was a lifelong resident of Kalkaska County, and had worked as a rural mail carrier. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was a member of the American Legion. He enjoyed trapping, logging, farming, fishing, and hunting.
He was born in Kalkaska County on Oct 8, 1925, the son of Charles and Hazel Johnson Hall.
Surviving are sons Roger Hall of South Boardman and Edward Hall of Lakeland, FL; daughters Joyce Stevens and Marcia Riley, both of Lakeland; sisters Gladys Krumlauf of Kalkaska, Ruth Etzcorn of South Boardman and wilda Babcock of Rockford; and 10 grandchildren.
Funeral services were Mar 18 at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska; Rev. David McCool, pastor of the Kalkaska Church of the Nazarene, officiated. Burial was in Lodi Cemetery, Kalkaska County.
