Charles David McDonald, 79, of Ithaca, died Fri, Dec 11, 1992, at Gratiot Community Hospital in Alma.
Mr. McDonald resided in Kalkaska then Traverse City until five years ago when he moved to Ithaca. He was a retired building mover, and enjoyed wood cutting, working with horses and building trailers.
Mr. McDonald was born in Benzonia on Mar 21, 1913, to Samuel and Mary Malnory McDonald. On Jun 15, 1936, in Walkerville, he was married to Shirley Richmond who survives.
Besides his wife, he is survived by five sons, Ronald of OR, Gary of Ithaca, Steven and Guy both of Traverse City, and Daniel of Palo; four daughters, Sharon McDonaldand Bonnie Thorington both of Bellaire, and Kathy McDonald and Mary Davis both of Traverse City; two sisters, Virginia Pierson of Flint, and Pauline Guy of Rapid City; 22 grandchildren; and 28 great grandchildren.
Two sons, Paul and Richard, one brother Tex, and one sister, Dreama Longton, preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held Tue, Dec 15, 1992, at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Rev. Steve Brower officiated.
Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Kalkaska.
