Charles A. Carr passed away at his home at the narrows of Glen Lake on Sunday evening, at 10:45 at the age of 73 years, seven months and five days.
The deceased was born at Paw Paw, MI, Aug 31, 1862. In 1891, he was married to Minnie Corey of Bear Lake, MI. They located at Glen Haven, MI, keeping the hotel there for several years. Mr. Carr was employed as sawyer in the D.H. Day mill. They moved to Elberta, MI in 1908 and for many years resided there. Later on they went to Manitowoc, WI. It was there that Mrs. Carr passed away in Sep 1927. Ernest their only child, passed away in 1910 at Elberta, MI.
In 1928, Mr. Carr was married to Mrs. Louise Bunker of Ellsworth, WI, in New Westminister, Canada. They came to their present home and built up the resort and cabin camps which is one of the many attractive places on Glen Lake.
The funeral services were held from the Methodist Church at Empire on Wednesday afternoon. Rev. Merriman of Acme officiating.
He was laid to rest in Maple Grove Cemetery beside his former wife and son, Ernest.
Mr. Carr is survived by the widow, who has the sympathy of the community.
