Charlene E. Majeski, 58, of Kalkaska, died Mon, Sep 26, 1994 at her residence.
Mrs. Majeski graduated from J.W. Sexton High School in 1954 and attended Central Michigan University in 1956. She moved to Kalkaska County, from Lansing, in 1988. She was a member of the Bear Lake Christian Church, where she was very active. In 1993, she shared, with her husband, the Volunteer of the Year Award from the Bear Lake Improvement Association. She was a former member of the Pioneer Civitan Club, and she enjoyed golf, skiing, boating, and camping.
Born on Aug 17, 1936 in Lansing; she was the daughter of Carter C. and Edith Longcor Rosenburg. On May 19, 1956, in Lansing, she married R. Dale Majeski, who survives.
Also surviving are one son, Michael (Mary) Majeski of Peoria, AZ; one daughter, Mary Beth (Ray) Pohl of Lansing; three brothers, David Rosenberg of Kalkaska, Richard Rosenburg of Georgia and Gordon Rosenburg of Holland; two sisters, Joyce David of Kalkaska and Donna Hein of Lansing; two half brothers, Arnold and Frank Lynde and one granddaughter, Amanda Majeski.
Funeral services were held Thu, Sep 29, 1994 at Bear Lake Christian Church, David Rosenburg, Pastor Denny Freeman and Rev. Gary Hamp officiated. Burial was in Excelsior Township Cemetery.
