Last Monday evening, Feb 26, after several days of intense suffering, Mrs. Alex Clapsaddle passed away to rest. In one week more she would have been sixty-one years of age.
Mrs. Clapsaddle came with her husband to the home where she died as one of the earliest settlers of the township and while enduring the privations incident to a new country she was ever cheerful and contented in her home. She was a faithful, loving wife, and mother, a kind and helpful friend, and the tears of a large circle of friends mingle with those of the family in sorrow at her death. Her husband and their four children, also her brother and sister and several other relative were present at her home in the last sad hours.
