Cecil R. "Gus" Burns of Cadillac died Wed, Jan 15, 1992 at Mercy Hospital in Cadillac.
Mr. Burns was a truck driver for Parker Motor Freight Co. in Cadillac for 30 years retiring in 1967. Following his retirement he worked for the Cadillac Concrete Pipe Co and Meyer Construction Co for several years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He was born in Boyne City to August and Bertha (Talboy) Burns. He was married to Violet R. Ingersoll in Mancelona who survives.
Besides his wife he is survived by two brothers, Merritt Burns of Petoskey and Robert Burns of Boyne Falls, and one sister, Alma Boone of Boyne City.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Bill and one sister Thelma Bradley.
Funeral services were held Fri, Jan 17, 1992 at the Hitesman Funeral Home in Cadillac. Rev. Danny Ingersoll officiated. Burial was in Breeds Cemetery, Fife Lake.
