Cecil E. Tracey, 66, of South Boardman, died Thu, Apr 11, 1996 at Munson Medical Center following a long illness.
He was a life-long resident of Kalkaska County and was a member of the Evergreen Bible Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Operating Engineers Local 324, and enjoyed farming.
He was born in Fort Wayne, IN on Apr 21, 1929 to Henry R. and Ethel V. Moses Tracey. On Jun 7, 1952, in Indiana, he married Janet Newstead, who survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Cecil (Jim) of Kalkaska, and Gary and Dennis both of South Boardman; one daughter, Janet Christensen of South Boardman; six brothers, Henry Jr, Virgil and Max all of Kalkaska, John of Mancelona, Donald of Cheboygan and Clifford of McAlester, OK; two sisters, Grace Godfrey and Esther Campbell, both of Kalkaska; 13 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
One son, Paul preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held Mon, Apr 15, 1996 at the Wolfe Funeral Home, Kalkaska. Rev. William Kuiper officiated. Burial was in Boardman Township Cemetery, Kalkaska County.
