Cecelia Jeanette Daft, age 89, passed away Dec 19, 2015 in Charlotte, MI. She was born FebĀ 15, 1926, in Bloomfield Township, MI, to the late Wayne A. and Nellie C. (Stampfler) Campbell. Cecelia began her career as a beauty operator in East Lansing, and then was the co owner of the Beauty Box in Holt. She later was a buyer for the MSU Bookstore in the card shop. Cecelia was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Holt, past president of the VFW 701 Ladies Auxiliary, and the Red Hat Society, Haslett Hussies.
She is survived by her sons: Bryan (Della) Daft and T. John (Deborah) Daft Jr.; grandchildren: Melissa (Brent) Smith, Nellie Rose Daft, Sara Lynn Daft, Sandy Chase, and Brue A.J. Kring; and great granddaughter, Aleaha Dixon. She is also survived by sisters in law: Georgianne Campbell and Eleanor Campbell and also many extended family members and family friends.
Cecelia was preceded in death by her husband Theodore John Daft, Sr., and two brothers: William Campbell and Edward Campbell.
There will be a private graveside service held at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Holt, or the Eaton County Health and Rehabilitation Services, Activities Fund. Arrangements are by the Estes-Leadley Holt/ Delhi Chapel.
