Catherine M. Stratz, 94, of Lansing, passed away peacefully Sun, Jan 5, 1997.
Mrs. Stratz was a 1925 graduate of St. Lawrence School of Nursing and a lifetime member of Holy Cross parish. She enjoyed her family and touched many lives through her dedication as a nurse.
Born Mar 2, 1902, to John and Lena Pung, she was preceded in death by her husband in Aug 1968.
Surviving are daughters Mary (Pete) Schafer of Ionia, Sr. Mary Augusta Stratz, R.S.N. of Kalkaska, Evelyn (Lawrence) Weitzel of Grand Ledge; sister Regina Thelen of Westphalia; six grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, one sister and great grandson Kevin Lee Weitzel Jr.
The Funeral Mass was celebrated Jan 9 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Lansing with Rev. Fr. Cyprian Uline and Rev. Fr. Dick Preston as celebrants.
Interment was in the St. Joseph Cemetery.
