Catherine "Kitty" Dorsey (nee Miller), a longtime resident of Riverdale and a clerk with the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms for 30 years, died Thursday, Aug 2, at Resurrection Medical Center.
Services will be Monday with a 10:15 am prayer service at Thornridge Funeral Home, Dolton, and an 11 am mass at Queen of Apostles Church, Riverdale, with the Rev. Raymond Yadron officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Evergreen Park.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 pm today at the Funeral Home.
Mrs. Dorsey was born Nov 8, 1900, in Chicago. The retired clerk knew and had contact with Elliott Ness.
She also worked for the Veterans Administration.
Mrs. Dorsey is survived by a daughter, Margaret "Peg" Godziela of Chicago and six grandchildren.
