Catherine D. Brown passed away on Oct 13, 2004, at her home in Kalkaska. She was born on Jul 21, 1927, in Boyne Falls.
Catherine married Albert "Kingsley" Brown on Oct 31, 1949, in Boyne Falls. They moved to Kalkaska in 1953.
Catherine enjoyed gardening, flower gardens, deer hunting, spending time in the woods and sailing. She was a member of St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church and the Eve Club of Kalkaska.
Surviving Catherine are her children, Dr. Albert C (Virginia) Brown of Williamsburg, Dr. Sandra (Martin) Brown-Magy of Encintas, CA, William (Betsey) Brown of Petoskey, Catherine J (Mandel) Brown-Alleweill of LInwood, and Joanne (Hal) Brown-Steger of Half Moon Boy, CA; and 12 grandchildren.
Catherine was preceded in death by her husband, Kingsley, on Jun 6, 2000.
Visitation was held on Oct 17 at Wolfe Funeral Home with the Scripture Service and the Rosary. The Mass of Christian Burial was on Oct 18 at St. Mary of the Woods, with the Rev. James Barrand officiating. Interment was at Excelsior Township Cemetery.
