Catherine Adeline Rogers Feeman, 94, died Tue, Jan 11, 2000, in her home. She was born Aug 7, 1905, in Newark, OH, the daughter of Homer Ray and Martha May (Joyce) Rogers.
Feeman was a resident of Chelsea since Jul 25, 1996. She was formerly a very active member at Main Street Methodist Church, Michigan Avenue Methodist (where she was the Sunday School superintendent and a member of the official board), Asbery United Methodist in Lansing, and an active member of Grayling Michelson Memorial United Methodist Church. She helped start and was very active in the Bear Lake Christian Church.
Feeman was a school teacher, past president of United Methodist Women, and past member of the Unity Literary Club of Lansing. She was very active in the Women's Clubhouse Association and president of the Literary Society, as well as being a member of the board of directors of Sylvan Glades Association.
She married Hyrtl Carins Feeman in Russell, KY on Dec 29, 1928. He survives. Other survivors include daughter Martha Anne Riley of Howell; son Harlan Roger Freeman of St Johns; brothers William Homer Rogers of North Carolina and Edwin Joyce Rogers of Ohio; nephew Dr. Hobart Rogers of NC; granddaughters Lark Lee Riley Samouelian, Ann Riley Papas, Julie Feeman Winsor and Catherine Feeman Fick; and nine great grandchildren.
Funeral services were Jan13 at Chelsea Retirement Community Chapel; Rev Tat-Khean Foo officiated. Burial followed at Oakwood Cemetery in Adrian.
Memorial contributions may be made to Adrian College, Chelsea Retirement Community or Bear Lake Christian Church.
