Mrs. Catherine A. Eckhardt, 79, of Kalkaska, died Thu, Apr 25, 1996, at her residence.
Mrs. Eckhardt had been a lifelong resident of Kalkaska County, and enjoyed birds and gardening.
Born in Kalkaska County on Jul 21, 1916, she was the daughter of Lawrence and Hazel (Pierce) O'Neil. On Nov 19, 1933, in Cadillac, she was married to Roy C. Eckhardt who preceded her in death on Mar 20, 1984.
Surviving are one son, Roger (Viva) Eckhardt of Kalkaska; one daughter, Mrs. Gordon (Joyce) Driesens of Hopkins; one half brother, two half sisters, three stepsisters; one aunt, Beulah Hall of Texas; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and several cousins.
Funeral services were held Sunday at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Pastor David Rosenberg officiated. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Kalkaska.
