Cassandra Alayne “Sandy” (Bromhal) Richison, 66, of Ohio Avenue, Nutter Fort, passed away suddenly on Jul 15, 2015 in the Ruby Memorial Hospital. Sandy was born on Mar 24, 1949, a daughter of the late William and Joyce Alayne Dyer Bromhal. She is survived by her husband, James W. Richison, whom she married Dec 21, 1968. Also surviving are two sons, Patrick Richison and his wife April, of Nutter Fort, and Matthew Richison and his wife Joni, of Nutter Fort; two daughters, Kimberly Swick and her husband Stanley of Belington, and Julie Westfall and her husband Christopher, of Stonewood; 13 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Nicholas Bromhal; and one sister, Cindy Riley.
She was a member of the Vincent Memorial United Methodist Church, where she was the president of the Ladybugs Women’s Circle, and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Fairmont VFW Post 629. Sandy was known for making hot dog chili and volunteering her time and talents to any organization that needed her help.
Family and friends may call from noon to 8 pm Sunday at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edisson ST, Nutter Fort, where funeral services will be held at 10 am Monday with Reverend Sam Cale III officiating. Interment will be in the West Virginia National Cemetery.
