Carrie Beardslee, died August 8, 2008. She was born in Salem, AR, the daughter of James Chestnut and Fannie O. Magufee. She married Delmar Beardslee in Flint, MI, in 1942. He preceded her in death in Aug of 1979.
During WWII while Delmar was away in the Navy, she worked at the AC Spark Plug Division to aid the war effort. Mrs. Beardslee retired from AC and had previously worked for Genova of Davison and Century 21.
Surviving are: daughters, Connie (Al) McCauley of Saginaw, MI, June (Verne) Hulce of Bay City, MI, Diana (Vaughn) Tucker of Monroe, VA, Deb (Bob) Henry of Grand Blanc, MI, and Elaine (Marv) Mitchell of Fenton, MI; sons, Jim (Jean) of Columbia, TN, Gary of Hart, and Tom of Butron; grandchildren, Jeremy, Elaine, Cortney, Zack, Carrie, Josh, Amanda, Jacob, Brad, and Tiara; eight great grandchildren; a sister, Johnnie Burkholz of Kirkland, WA; a sister in law, Mona Wolfe of Marquette; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held August 9, 2008 at the Swartz Funeral Home in Flint, MI, with Pastor Ronald Sarbo officiating. Burial followed in the Flint Memorial Park with arrangements under the direction of Swartz Funeral Home.
