Carrie E Sackett, 76, of Milan, died Mar 23, 2001, in Provincial House.
Mrs. Sackett was born Mar 27, 1924, in North Adams, the daughter of Clarence and Mildred (Johns) Metcalf. On May 22, 1942, she married William Sackett in North Adams. She was a resident of the Ridgeway and Milan area since 1947.
Surviving are son Ronald (Carolyn) Sackett of Britton; daughters, Susan Sackett of Milan and Martha Whitney of Kalkaska; 25 grandchildren and 41 great grandchildren; sisters Mary Irene (Kenneth) Gilmore of Parma, and Phyllis (Edward) Evans of Paw Paw, OK.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband William, son William Hugh Sackett, daughter Eva Mae Wasikowski, four grandchildren and three brothers.
Funeral services were held Mar 26 at the Purse Funeral Home in Tecumseh; Rev Blake Hunt officiated. Burial was in Lenawee Hills Memorial Gardens, Tecumseh.
