Carol Yvonne LaParr, 64, died on Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2008, at U of M hospital in Ann Arbor.
Carol was born in Traverse City on Aug. 27, 1944, the daughter of Albert F. and Ellen G. (Hanna) Clark.
Carol retired from the Grand Traverse Pavillions as a nurse’s aid in 2006 after 14 years of service.
She enjoyed gardening, playing Bingo, watching TV, especially game shows. She truly loved her family and grandchildren.
Carol is survived by her children, Matthew (Cynthia) Clark of Thompsonville, Randy (Jillayne) Clark of Thompsonville and Sandra (Melvin) Pelkey of Buckley; stepchildren, Mose (Cindy) LaParr of Kingsley, Leon LaParr of Traverse City, John LaParr of Traverse City, Floyd (Laura) LaParr of Traverse City and Brian (Terri) LaParr of Grawn; four grandchildren, Melvin, Carol, Stephen and Elleah Clark; numerous step grandchildren; her father, Albert Clark of Traverse City; siblings, Patricia (Carl) Masino of Taylor, Francis Clark of Taylor, Linda (David) Reed of Grawn, William (Phyllis) Clark of Marshall and Albert (Laurie) Clark of Kaleva; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews.
Carol was preceded in death by her mother, Ellen Clark; husband, Mose LaParr; first husband, Leon Clark; infant son, Brian Clark; infant sister, Judy Clark; nephew, Lee Turk; and stepdaughter Debbie LaParr.
