Carol Lee McLeod, 66, of South Boardman passed away with her family by her side on Dec 28, 2003, at home.
Born on Mar 2, 1937, in New Lothrop, she was the daughter of Lawrence and Milda (Crandall) Sweers.
Carol married Donald J McLeod on Nov 26, 1954. in New Lothrop. Carol and Don moved to South Boardman in 1984 from Kalkaska.
Carol loved spending time with her grandchildren, and enjoyed gardening, cooking, music, and taking care of her family. She was a member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Mancelona, a choir member and played the piano.
Carol is survived by Don, her husband of 49 years; her children, Rebecca Lee (John) Priami of Kalkaska, Mary Beth (Christopher) Sprague of Mancelona and Matthew Jeremy (Christie) McLeod of South Boardman; five grandchildren, and her sister, Beth Q. Leitow of Kalkaska.
Preceding Carol in death were her parents and her brother, Richard Sweers.
The funeral service was held Dec 30 at St Matthews Lutheran Church in Mancelona.
Memorials may be given in behalf of Carol McLeod to the American Diabetes Association.
Arrangements were made by Wolfe Funeral Home, Kalkaska.
