Carol Ann Meta, 62, of Kalkaska passed away May 12, 2003, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.
She was born Dec 6, 1936, in Churdan, IA, the daughter of Dale and Pauline (Dudley) Halloway.
Carol married Tony P Meta on Mar 31, 1953, in Ann Arbor. They have been residents of Kalkaska since 2000, previously residing in Clinton.
Carol loved music, painting, and interior decorating, but most of all her family. She was a member of the Wolverine Morgan Horse Association of Kalkaska.
Surviving Carol is her husband of 50 years, Tony; children, Angela Meta of Tecumseh, Tina (Sam) Guidry of Muskegon, Nick (Carol) Meta of Kewadin, David (Pam) Meta of Nebraska, and Rachel (Tom) Brady of Kalkaska; 12 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Mary (Ed) Swayze of Garden City, Joyce Johnson of Minneapolis, MN, Prudence (Nazareth) Barnabei of Ypsilanti, Judith (Paul) Spradin of Saline, Henry (Jackie) Halloway of Ypsilanti, Iris (John) Weisgerber of Howell, Tom (Sharon) Halloway of Ypsilanti, Leslie (Reese) Bruce of Saline and Julia Malmgren of Minneapolis, MN.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers - Gordon and Alan Halloway.
The funeral service was May 14, 2003, with the Rev. Kimberland Hough officiating.
Memorials may be made on behalf of Carol Ann Meta to Crohn's Research.
