Carl R. Simon, 83, of Fife Lake, died Fri, Oct 23, 1992, at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center.
Mr. Simon moved to Fife Lake from Clearwater, FL in 1984. He had resided in Rochester, and worked as sales manager for Grinding Supplies and Service in Oak Park. He enjoyed working on the zoning and planning commission in both Rochester and Fife Lake. He was a past Lt. Governor of the Kiwanis Club and a member of the Fife Lake United Methodist Church.
Born in South Bend, IN, on Mar 10, 1909, he was the sn of the late Emery and Emma Riesenbach Simon. On Aug 18, 1931, in Sudbury, MA, he was married to Marion R. Boyer who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Susan Stoliker of West Lafayette, IN, and Mrs. Jeff (Carol) Hayes of Fife Lake; seven grand children; seven great grandchildren; one brother, Emery Simon of South Bend, IN; and one sister, Flora Pappas of Indianapolis, IN.
Two brothers, Joe Tellson and Albert Tellson, and two sisters, Ella Szabo and Emma Kalin preceded him in death.
Memorial services were held Tue, Oct 27, 1992, at Fife Lake United Methodist Church, Rev. Gary Wales officiated.
