Carl E. Lindy, 66, a former resident of Suttons Bay and Empire, died Jun 3 at the Kelsey Memorial Hospital in Lakeview.
He was the son of Berga and Irma (Gilson) Lindy, born Jun 29, 1913 in Thompsonville. He retired after 37 years of service with the US Department of Agriculture as a regional supervisor. He was a member of Lodge 454 F & AM of Six Lakes.
Surviving are his wife, the former Leatha Beardslee; a son, Lowell Lindy of Midland; two brothers, Onto Lindy of Vero Beach, FL, and Rodney Lindy of Charlotte; a sister, Mrs. Dorothy Meredith of Thompsonville; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Jun 6 at the Youngman Funeral Home in Lakeview. Burial was in the West Pine Cemetery in Lakeview.
Memorials may be made in Mr. Lindy’s name to Kelsey Memorial Hospital in Lakeview.
