Carl A. Remer, aged 67 of Clare, passed away on Wed, May 3, 1989 in the Midland Hospital. He was born on Oct 30, 1921 in Utica, MI the son of Benjamin and Nellie (Westover) Remer. He married the former Janis Coon and she pre deceased him in 1968. Mr. Remer served in the Army in WWII. Mr. Remer retired as an electrical engineer in 1983. He moved to Clare from Detroit in 1975. He is survived by 2 daughters, Charlene Remer of Lake Orion and Lisa Remer of Clare; 2 grandchildren, Gary Marchioni and Debbie Marchioni; a brother, Raymond Remer of Lake Orion and a sister Irene Remer of Detroit. He was predeceased by a daughter, Sharon Marchioni in 1974. Funeral services for Mr. Remer were held on Sun, May 7, 1989 at 2pm in the Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home in Clare with Rev. Edwin A. Mueckler officiating. Burial was in White Chapel Cemetery in Troy, MI. Memorials are suggested to the Clare County Hospice.
