Cameron A. Bissett, 78, of South Boardman, died Sun, Aug 3, 1997, at the Kalkaska Memorial Health Center.
Mr. Bissett resided in Port Huron until 1962, when he moved to Kalkaska County. He was a heavy equipment operator, and owned his own excavating business. He formerly worked as a mechanic for the Kalkaska County Road Commission, and enjoyed farming.
Born in Sanilac County on Apr 8, 1919, he was the son of Archibald and Bessie Strickler Bissett. He married Elva Foster in Applegate on May 7, 1938. She survives.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Wayne (Carol) Bissett of Sout Boardman; daughters, Marilyn (Eugene) Munro of Fife Lake, Charlotte (Adrian) Kippen of South Boardman, Linda (Harry) Sundling of Cooks, and Joyce Custer of Kalkaska; brother, Richard Bissett of Fife Lake; sister, Nellie (Charles) Davis of South Boardman; 14 grandchildren; three step grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren.
A brother, Donald, a sister in law, Erma, and a granddaughter, Tracie, preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Wednesday, at the Wolfe Funeral Home, Kalkaska. E. Dan Johnson, pastor of the Kalkaska Church of Christ, will officiate. Burial will be in Lodi Cemetery, Kalkaska County.
