Bert Williams, 64, of 1314 South Union St died at Munson Hospital, Sun morning following a brief illness.
He was born at Walton Junction Jun 11, 1900 and spent his childhood there and at Rockford. In 1918 he came to Traverse City where he became associated with the Citizens Telephone Company and later with The Bell Telephone Company. He retired in 1963 after 39 years with Bell Telephone.
In 1921 He married Florence Skellet of Traverse City, who survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Thomas (Betty) Bovee of Acme; one brother, Charles Williams of Manistee; two grandchildren; and several other relatives. Two brothers, one sister and his parents preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held Wed at 2pm at the Hibbard Funeral Chapel with the Dr. Howard Towne officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
