Mrs. Percy Briggs, 78, died at her home in Butman Township Wednesday, May 31, following an illness of several months. The former Blanche Westover was born in West Branch Aug. 1, 1888. She was married to Percy Briggs, who survives her, July 14, 1911 in Butman. Survivors besides her husband are a son, Chester of Pontiac; two brothers, Joseph Westover of Wayne and Charles Westover of Pontiac; three sisters, Mrs. George Foote of Gladwin, Mrs. Donald (Neva) Stuck of Zilwaukee, and Mrs. Ben (Nellie) Reamer of Redford; three grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Miner Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Allen, of Gladwin Free Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Butman Township Cemetery.
