Billy Dane Jackson, 46, of Kalkaska, died Tue, Nov 21, 2000, at Munson Medical Center.
Billy resided in Arizona until eight years ago, when he moved to Kalkaska. He served with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, and was a member of the American Legion, VFW and the DAV. He assisted with the American Legion Bingo and newsletter, and also with Boy Scout Troop 629.
Billy was born in Florence, AL, Sep 6, 1954, to Billy E. and Lois Pilkinton Jackson. On July 25, 1981, at Luke Air Force Base in Arizona, he married Paula Domke, who survives.
Besides his wife, he is survived by sons Billy D Jackson II of Traverse City and Adam Jackson at home; daughter Nestina Jackson at home; his parents of Alto, GA; sisters Marilyn Head of Jasper, GA; Jeanine Tatum of Lula, GA; and Leisa Barger of Alto, GA; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services were Nov 28 at Bear Lake Christian Church; Pastor David Rosenberg officiated. Military rites were presented by the American Legion and VFW.
Arrangements were made by Wolfe Funeral Home, Kalkaska.
