A former resident of Kalkaska, Beulah L Larabee, 81, of Brighton, passed away Apr 6, 2005, at St Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor.
Beulah was born on Aug 25, 1923, one of eight children born to Harvey and Lorainia Stockwell Borden. She was a factory worker, a home maker, and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Brighton Jesse B. Collie Post No 235 of the American Legion.
On Jul 16, 1943, at Ann Arbor, she wa sunited in marriage to Maxwell (Max) E. Larabee.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Max, and daughter, Karen Lee Best.
Left to mourn her passing are sons, Richard (Karen) of Nevada and Robert (Sandy) of Kalkaska; daughter, Cheryl Kay Parks of Brighton; and sister, Floy (Dayton) Peck Kalkaska. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
She also leaves behind two brothers in law, Cleo D (Bethel) Larabee of Kalkaska and Rex (Annabelle) Larabee of Twin Lake; and four sisters in law, Leeta M Martin, Vivian L Tunipseed, Beatrice E (Ray) Patterson and Nova D (Don) Darke, all of Kalkaska.
Graveside services will be held at a later date at Excelsior Township Cemetery.
