Betty M. Leimenstoll Beitler, 87, of Decatur, died Fri, Apr 27, 2012, at Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home in Fort Wayne. Betty was born in Adams County on Jul 17, 1924, to John and Irene (Denny) Myers. On November 8, 1953, she married Lloyd Leimenstoll; he died Mar 10, 1975. Then on August 5, 1981, she married Harry Beitler; he died May 1991. Betty was a member of the Decatur Church of God. She was a homemaker and worked as a cashier for Kroger and Gerber Locker in Craigville.
Surviving relatives include a daughter, Karen (Dan) Eckelbarger of Craigville; three step children, Patricia (Harold) Arnold of Monroe, Judy (Michael) Haney of Kendalville and Robert Beitler of Pendleton; a sister, Arlene (Kenneth) Nash of Joplin; and three grandchildren, Mathew (Megan), Ashely, and Aaron Ecklebarger, all of Craigville. Betty was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Foltz.
Visitation will be from 3 to 6pm Sat, Apr 28 and from noon to 2pm Sun, Apr, 29, at the Haggard-Sefton and Hirschy Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 2pm Sunday, Apr 29, at the funeral home, with Pastor Dan Eckelbarger, Matthew Eckelbarger and Jerry Hurst officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Dale Cemetery in Decatur.
