Betty Jane Brakhop, 77, of Kalkaska died Sun, Sep 26, 1999 at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.
Betty was born in New Cumberland, PA, on Feb 24, 1922, daughter of the late Milton and Naomi Weaver Hartman.
She moved to Kalkaska in 1952 and owned and operated the Kal Ho Bar until her retirement in 1972. She was a former member of the Kalkaska Village Council. Her hobbies included working in her yard and her dog "Middy."
Surviving are son James Wethy of Manistique; brother Bennie Hartman of Bloomfield Hills; companion Willard (Butch) Fears of Kalkaska; and several nieces and nephews.
Sister Joann Marie Wethy preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held Sep 28 at Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska; Rev. Ken Doss officiated. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Kalkaska.
