Betty J "Betty Boop" McMaster, 80, of Kalkaska, passed away on Thu, Mar 15, 2007, at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center, LTC.
Betty was born on Jan 3, 1927, in Rockford, the daughter of the late Roy and Frances (Howard) Tompkins.
Betty married James McMaster in Ludington 25 years ago. She retired from Great Lakes Master Mates and Pilots after 10 years of working on the SS Badger on the Great Lakes. Betty enjoyed cooking, baking, housekeeping, and collected teapots and cookie jars. She was a member of the Moose Lodge in Ludington.
Surviving Betty are her children, Richard (Colette) Andrews of Rockford and Christine Andrews of Cedar Springs; her grandchildren, Mathew Andrews and Sarah (Jerry) Maxim, Chad (Lauri) Andrews of Grand Rapids and Rebecca (Todd) Wildeboer of Kent City; seven great grandchildren; her sister, Joyce M Hendricks of Kalkaska.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband in 2001; two brothers and a sister.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Sat, Mar 24 at Kalkaska United Methodist Church at 11 am with Reverend Robert Stark officiating.
Arrangements were made by Wolfe-O'Neill Funeral Home.
