Mrs. Bessie Aldridge, 69, a resident of Fife Lake and Detroit died Tue evening, Dec 20 in the Northville hospital in Northville, following a lingering illness.
Bessie Hamilton was born Jul 16, 1886, in Fife Lake, the daughter of James and Ella Hamilton. In 1906 she was united in marriage to Thomas Aldridge of Fife Lake. To this union were born 4 sons. Mrs. Aldridge spent her summers at her farm house known as the 7-11 ranch near Fife Lake and her winters were spent at her home in Detroit.
Surviving are four sons, Hamilton, Keith, and Boyd of Detroit, and Wayne of Fife Lake; two sisters, Mrs. Laura Cynoweth and Mrs. Gladys Canfield of Detroit; 14 grandchildren and many other relatives. Mr. Aldridge preceded her in death Jul 5, 1944.
Funeral service were held Fri, Dec 23, at 2pm from the Methodist Church in Fife Lake. Rev. Edward Eidens officiating. Burial was in the Fife Lake Cemetery beside her companion in life.
