Bernice M. Andrews, 97, passed away Tuesday, March 9, 2004, in Courtney Manor Nursing Center, Bad Axe. Born in Brown City on December 16, 1906, she was the daughter of the late Arthur John and Edith (Willard) Brown. On January 23, 1924, Bernice and Robert Jeffers were united in marriage in Detroit. Robert preceded her in death on October 28, 1967. On November 7, 1970, Bernice married Ervin Andrews in Harbor Beach. Bernice was a member of the Community Church of Christ in Harbor Beach. She is survived by her children, Betty Guitar and her husband Alvin, of Harbor Beach, Vonda Fyfe and her husband Charles, of Harbor Beach, Robert Jeffers and his friend Beulah, of Oak Park, Illinois, JoAnne Leese and her husband Bernard, of Port Hope, and Thomas Jeffers and his wife, Arlene of Allen Park; 16 grandchildren; and 35 great-grandchildren; and 16 great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Ruth Brabyn, of Lexington; and a brother, Max Brown, of Sidnaw. Bernice was preceded in death by three brothers, Donald, Tom and J.E. Brown;and two sisters, Genevieve Brown and Beatrice Chartier. Funeral services will be Sunday, March 14, 2004, at 11 a.m. in the Community of Christ Church in Harbor Beach with Evangelist Ellis Gardener officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Brown City. Visitation will be from 1 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Saturday at the Ramsey Funeral Home, Harbor Beach, and from 10 a.m. until the time of services on Sunday at the church.
