Bernice L Bernhardt, 90, of Kalkaska, died Tue, Apr 22, 1997, at Goodall-Witcher Hospital in Clifton, TX.
Mrs. Bernhardt resided in Chicago until 1934, when she moved to Alden. She made her home in Kalkaska since 1973. She was a member of The Peoples Church, the Kalkaska County Historical Society and the Museum of Cultures.
Born in Chicago on Jun 27, 1906, she was the daughter of William and Louise Bricker Weber. On Sep 16, 1926, in Chicago, she married John Bernhardt, who preceded her in death on Jul 9, 1965.
Surviving are her son Bryce (Faye) Bernhardt of Falls Church, VA; daughters Phyllis (Russell) Gungel of Arlington Heights, IL, Dorothea (Bill) El-Yasir of Niles, IL, and Jacqueline Bernhardt of Kopperl, TX; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Private graveside services were held Apr 25 at Evergreen Cemetery in Kalkaska with Rev. Paul Karges officiating.
