Bernice E. Johnson, 91, formerly of 709 N. Cherry St, died Monday in United Methodist Home, Warren.
Mrs. Johnson was born in Blackford County and graduated from Hartford City High School. She also attended Muncie Business College. She live din Blackford County most of her life except 1946-1962, when she lived in Detroit. She had retired in 1946 from Fulton Glass Company, and had also worked for Johnston Glass Company. She was a member of the Methodist Church.
Survivors include a daughter. Geraldine Clements (husband: Robert), New Castle; a son, Richard E. Needler (wife: Helen), Columbus Grove, OH; four grandchildren, Robert Clements Jr., Indianapolis, Candace J. Clements, San Diego, and Beth Ann Huffman and John Needler, both of Columbus Grove, OH, and seven great grandchildren, Ryan Clements, Allison Clements, Noah Needler, Hannah Needler, Sarah Needler, Grace Needler, and Clay Huffman.
Her husband, Burr Johnson, died in 1967. A daughter, Betty Eileen Street; her parents, Noah A. and Chloe M. Slentz Street, and sister, Crystal Knoderer, are also deceased.
Services will be at 2 pm Wednesday in Waters Funeral Home, with Rev. W. Lloyd Hall officiating. Burial will be in the Trenton, Indiana Cemetery.
Calling will be an hour prior to services Wednesday at the funeral home.
