Mrs. Bernice A. Tinker, 88, of Wyoming, formerly of Kalkaska, died Sun, Mar 20, 1994, at Crestview Manor in Wyoming.
Mrs. Tinker resided in Kalkaska from 1942 until 1972 when she moved to the Grand Rapids area. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Rebekah Lodges, the Bella Vista Reformed Church in Rockford, and a former member of Calvary Baptist Church in Kalkaska. She had worked as a beautician, and enjoyed her family and friends.
Mrs. Tinker was born in Cadillac on Feb 28, 1906, to Orin and Susan Lemon Boyce. On Jul 4, 1929, in Cadillac, she was united in marriage with Grant Tinker who preceded her in death on Mar 13, 1976. Surviving are four sons, Melbourne Marine of Paducah, KY, Duane Tinker of Kentwood, Gene Tinker of Rockford, and Jack Tinker of Big Rapids; one daughter, Arlene Armstrong of Dorr; three sisters, Vivian Hoffman of McBain, and Viola Morris and Leone Teed both of Cadillac; 15 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and five great great grandchildren.
Six brothers preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 1 pm Thu, Mar 24, 1994, at Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Rev. Rodney Boyce will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Kalkaska. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9pm Wednesday. Memorial gifts may be directed to the Alzheimers Association.
