Bernard "Dale" Wells died peacefully Sat morning, Oct 1, 2011 at his home.
He was born Jul 30, 1933, in Kalkaska County, to Minor and Mildred (Rosenberg) Wells. He married Wilma Fryhover on Jun 9, 1956. They were devoted to each other for 55 years.
Dale served his country honorably in the U.S. Army for two years as a tank commander during the Korean War. He enjoyed playing with his tractors, and working at the Cotton Potato Farm, where he worked for many years. Dale also enjoyed a good deer hunt. He served for many years as an elder at the Spencer Church of Christ.
Dale is survived by his wife, Wilma; daughter, Lori (Sean) Hegarty of Burlington, Ontario, Canada; grandsons David, Colin, and Alec all of Burlington, Ontario. He is also survived by his brother, Larry (Marlene) of Kalkska; many nieces and nephews, and his Church family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Debbie; and his brother, Gerald (Jed).
The memorial service was held Tue, Oct 4, at 3 pm at the Spencer Church of Christ with visitation beginning at 1 pm.
Memorials may be given to the Spencer Church of Christ or the Wilderness Christian Camp.
