Mrs. Belva A. Beyer, 90, of Saginaw, died Mon, Nov 27, 1995, at St. Francis Home. Belva A. Kniss was born Dec 2, 1904 in Kalkaska County, the youngest child of the late Elijah and Annettie (Annis) Kniss. She married Joseph Beyer Dec 26, 1935; he predeceased her Dec 24, 1941. She later married Frank M. Beyer Sep 22, 1951; he predeceased her Dec 10, 1961. She attended the Flint Beauty College. She owned the Orchid Beauty Shop in Bay City and Belva's Beauty Shop, Bay and Court Streets, in Saginaw. She had also been employed by the Vanity Box and the State Street Beauty Shop. She was a member of St. Helen's Catholic Church. Surviving are her daughter, Joan Potter of Saginaw; three grandchildren and their spouses, Vickie L and Brad Robinson, Jerry D and Laurie Potter, Carol A and Robert Ewing; 11 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by three brothers, George, Forrest, and Charles A. Kniss and by three sisters, Glennie Phillips, Minnie Morrison, and Roseta Kniss.
Mass of Christian Burial took place Wednesday at St. Helen Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. Robert J Meissner officiated at the burial in St. Andrew Cemetery.
