Beatrice Galarno, 77, of Kalkaska, died Sep 14, 2001, surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Galarno was born Dec 15, 1923, to the late Alfonse and Sarah (Santhony) LaClair. Beatrice graduated from high school in 1941 in Flat Rock. She married Thomas Galarno on May 11, 1946, in Saginaw. They were residents of Saginaw for many years until moving to Kalkaska in 1973. She was a member of the Ladies CCW Auxiliary at St Mary of the Woods, VFW Auxiliary, Kalkaska Memorial Health Center Auxiliary, and a hospital volunteer.
She is survived by her sons, Joseph (Donna) Galarno and Thomas D Galarno, both of Kalkaska; daughters, Terry Ann (Richard M) Guthridge of Free Soil, Debra Malott of Indianapolis, IN, Pamela (Gilbert) Ritter of Bay City, and Paula (John) Greenman of Rapid City; 14 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and sister, Delores Leach of Paw Paw.
She was predeceased by her husband Thomas; brother, Ken; and sisters, Loretta, Gertrude and Mary.
Visitation was held Sep 16 with a wake service at 7 pm Mass of Christian Burial was held on Sep 17 at St Mary of the Woods. Father Jim Holtz officiated. Interment was in St Mary of the Woods Cemetery.
