Bart A. Dorrel, oldest son of Thomas and Eudora Dorrell, was born September 20, 1881 in OH, and passed away September 9, 1942 in the University Hospital in Ann Arbor, aged 60 years, 11 months, and 20 days.
In 1902 he was married to Mary Pell. To this union were born two children, Clay and Dorothy, both of Jackson. For many years after his marriage he lived in Jackson, where he worked at his trade as a carpenter until the death of his wife, January 27, 1935. Since then he lived with his mother at Weston. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Jackson. For the last two years he had been in ill health. Besides his son and daughter, he is survived by his mother, Mrs. Eudora Dorrell of Weston, two brothers, Clyde of Dundee and Roy of Delta, OH, one grandson, and many other relatives and friends.
The funeral was held Sat. at 2pm at the Weston Baptist Church with the Rev. T.R. Dolson officiating. The bearers were Roy Keller, George Knapp, Fred Southworth, Frederick Southworth, Ezra Cole, and Aaron Hindee. The burial was in the new cemetery at Weston.
