Mrs. Barbara Lee Norkowski, 57, of Kalkaska, died Sat, Oct 16, 1993 at Munson Medical Center.
Mrs. Norkowski had been a resident of Kalkaska for the past 35 years after moving here from Detroit. She worked with animals and was a veterinary assistant. She enjoyed writing, fishing, hunting, and fabric painting.
Born in Detroit on Mar 12, 1936, Mrs. Norkowski was the daughter of Melvin and Grace Smith Moore. On Dec 8, 1954, in Oakland County, she was married to Martin Norkowski who survives.
Also surviving are one son, Timothy Norkowski of Traverse City; two daughters, Dawn Jackson and Andrea Norkowski both of Kalkaska; two brothers, Ronald Moore of Shelbyville and Jack Moore of Thompsonville; one sister, Janet Aker of South Lyon; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding in death was one daughter, Trena Norkowski.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Wed, Oct 20 1993, at the Wolfe Funeral Home. Father Patrick J. Barrett will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Kalkaska.
