Barbara J Sexton, of South Boardman passed away on Sep 27, 2005, at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born on Oct 1, 1932, in Petoskey, the daughter of Ray and Alta (Wright) Chapin.
Barbara married Carroll Sexton on Sep 25, 1954, in Grand Rapids. She was a bookkeeper retired from Budres Lumber Company in 1993. Barbara was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in South Boardman.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Carroll, of 51 years; daughter, Nancee Sexton of Los Angeles, CA; siblings, Betty (Robert) Bronson of Byron Center, Ruth (Marvin) Gage, Larry (Betty) Chapin, and Ronald Chapin, all of Grand Rapids; mother in law, Nettie Sexton of South Boardman; sister and brothers in law, Yvonne and Rex Krausbaur of Belmont, Delores and George Massad of Grand Rapids; and many nephews and nieces.
Barbara was preceded in death by her son, Terrance Scott Sexton; her parents; and brothers, Russell Chapin, Richard Chapin, and Chester Chapin.
Visitation was held on Fri, Sep 30, at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. The funeral service was Sat, Oct 1, at noon, also at the funeral home with the Rev. Howard Seaver officiating. Burial was at Boardman Township Cemetery.
