Barbara Dean Irelan, age 61, of Kalkaska, MI died on Mon, Oct 23, 2006, at Munson Medical Center, Traverse City. She was born May 14, 1945 in Detroit, MI, the daughter of the late Walter A and Phyllis (Jewett) Felke. She was employed by Coding Products of Kalkaska for 10 years, retiring in Jan 2006.
Barbara loved being a mom and grandmother and spending time with friends. She loved quilting, reading, NASCAR, sewing, crafting, and traveling.
She is survived by her daughters, Julie Perkins of Traverse City and Jenny (Eric Weber) Irelan of Grawn; grandchildren, Heather, Maggie, Abby, Nicholas, and Krystal; brother, Robert (Deanna) Felke of Gwinn; nieces and nephews, Robert, Cara, Andrea, Jason, Danessa, and Sara; great nieces and nephew, Lexi, Carolyn, Jillian, and Mason; cousins, Nancy and Ted Lee. Barbara is also survived by her life long friend, Sue Allen, along with her numerous other friends.
A gathering of Barbara's family and friends will be held on Sat, Nov 11, 2006, starting at 5 pm at Kalkaska Moose Lodge, South M 66, Kalkaska. Cremation has taken place at Oak Grove Cemetery, Manistee.
