Barbara A. White, 66, passed away Sun, Mar 30, 2014 at her home. She was born Mar 17, 1948 in Port Huron the daughter of Fred H. and Nevabell (Morgan) Mason. She graduated as valedictorian from Peck High School. She married Larry White on Apr 15, 1967 in Yale. Barb was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Newberry, Almont O.E.S., Almont Lioness Club and Barton City Eagles. She worked in banking institutions over 27 years including First of America and Old Kent in Almont and the Oxford Bank in Dryden. Some of her favorite things to do were; spend time up north at the cabin in Pine Stump Junction that she and Larry built, fishing, snowmobiling, shooting squirrels and spending hours at Lazy Bear Camp in Pine Stump. She also enjoyed entertaining her children, grandchildren and friends at the cabin, making cookies with her grandchildren and her beloved Detroit Tigers.
She is survived by her loving husband Larry, her two daughters Rhonda A (Edward Henshaw) White of Sterling Heights, grandchildren; William Ogden of Dryden and Alissa Ogden of Kimball, sister in law, Lynn White of Clarkston, special nephews Todd (Dawn) White of Elba and special niece Tammy White of Waterford. She is also survived by many great friends and her dear dog and companion Molly. She was preceded in death by her parents, her father and mother in law, Clarence and Edna White and brother in law, Gary White.
Visitation was Tue, Apr 1, 2014 from 2 to 8 pm with funeral services were Wednesday at 1 pm at Muir Brothers Funeral Home in Almont.
