Barbara A. Peebles, 50, died Sun, Feb 8, 1998, at her home in Mancelona.
Barbara was born Mar 11, 1947, in Pontiac, the daughter of Charles and Elizabeth (Payne) Moses. On Apr 11, 1970, in Charlevoix, she married Wayne R. Peebles. They had lived in Mancelona since 1977, and eight years prior in East Jordan. Barbara was a salesperson for Avon for 15 years and had worked at the Craft House in Kalkaska.
She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church. She enjoyed crafts, flowers, gardening, walking, biking, and the great outdoors.
Barbara is survived by children Shannon Peebles of Kalkaska and Keith Peebles of East Jordan; two grandchildren; father Charles Moses of Charlevoix; brothers Roger (Laurie) Moses of East Jordan, John (Cindy) Moses of San Diego, CA, and Anthony "Tony" (Genia) Moses of Charlevoix; sisters Rita (Gary) Brodin of Charlevoix and Nora (John) Fritsch of Charlevoix; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husband on Sep 7, 1990; and mother on May 25, 1994.
The family will receive friends (Feb 11) Wednesday from 10 am to 9 pm at the Paullin-Penzien Funeral Home in Mancelona. A scripture service will be held Wednesday evening at 7 pm at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held Feb 12 at 11 am at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Mancelona; Father R. Dale Magoon officiating. Internment will be in Ellsworth Cemetery.
