Audrey Anderson, age 88, passed away on July 6, 2011, at her daughter's home in Kalkaska. She was born on February 8, 1923 in Antrim County to the late Noah and Velma (Gee) McLain.
Audrey married Norman Anderson on May 5, 1942 in Kalkaska. Together they raised 4 wonderful children. Audrey and Norm were married for 64 wonderful years when he passed away in 2007. Audrey retired from Kalkaska Memorial Hospital after 25 dedicated years as a nursing aide. While working at the hospital, she also worked along side Norm on the family farm.
Audrey was a devoted member of the Evergreen Bible Baptist Church for many years. While enjoying winters in Florida, Norman and Audrey would often visit the Tiger's spring training. She enjoyed watching Larry King and game shows on television.
Audrey is survived by her devoted children, Susan Ball of Kalkaska, Shelly (Tim) Gallia of Carrollton, TX, Larry (Charlene) Anderson of Lakeland, FL; 11 cherished grandchildren; 14 1/2 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-granddaughters.
Audrey was preceded in death by her husband, Norm; her son, Terry, who also passed away in 2007; her daughter-in-law, Pamela; brother, Robert McLain; and sister, Naomi Fry.
Funeral services for Audrey will be held on Saturday, July 9th at 3:00 p.m. at Evergreen Bible Baptist Church with visitation being held 2 hours prior to the service. Pastor William Kuiper will be officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Lodi Cemetery.
